Prerequisites
🎯 What You Need
- BigCommerce store admin access with app installation permissions
- Stencil or Catalyst theme (both fully supported!)
- Products with date modifiers configured as "Date" type in BigCommerce
- Multi-Storefront ready - automatically injects across all your storefronts

Step 1
Install the App from BigCommerce Marketplace
- Log in to your BigCommerce admin dashboard
- Navigate to Apps & Features → Apps → My Apps
- Search for "DeliverDate Pro"
- Click the app card to view details
- Click "Install" button
- Review the permissions requested and click "Install" to confirm
✓ Success: App is now installed and visible in your My Apps list
Step 2
Authorize the App
- In BigCommerce admin, go to Apps & Features → My Apps
- Find "DeliverDate Pro" in your installed apps list
- Click "Launch" to open the app admin panel
- You'll be redirected to the BigCommerce OAuth authorization screen
- Review the requested scopes and click "Install"
- The app admin panel will load automatically
Note: The app requires read/write access to:
- Store information (to identify your store)
- Products (to detect date modifiers)
- Content scripts (to inject the date picker on product pages)
Step 4
✅ Verify Installation
- Go to your BigCommerce storefront
- Navigate to any product with a date modifier
- You should see a calendar icon 📅 and date picker button
- Click the button to open the Flatpickr calendar interface
- Verify that:
- ✓ Disabled dates (weekends, holidays, blackouts) appear grayed out with tooltips
- ✓ You can only select valid dates (rules enforced)
- ✓ The selected date appears on the button with day-of-week labels
- ✓ Works on both desktop and mobile devices
- ✓ Catalyst storefronts show proper single-input date display
🎉 Catalyst Support: If you're using a Catalyst storefront, the app automatically detects it and handles the React-based form structure. Day-of-week labels (e.g., "Sun, Dec 25") display correctly!
⚠️ Date picker not showing? Clear your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) and hard refresh the product page. Script injection may take 30-60 seconds after first save.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues & Solutions
📱 Date picker not appearing on product page
- Solution 1: Hard refresh your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac)
- Solution 2: Clear your browser cookies and cache, then refresh
- Solution 3: Verify the product has a date modifier configured in BigCommerce
- Solution 4: Check that you've saved your config in the admin panel
🗓️ Disabled dates not showing correctly
- Check timezone: Ensure your store timezone is set correctly in the admin panel
- Check holiday dates: Verify holidays are entered in YYYY-MM-DD format
- Clear cache: Hard refresh your browser to see updated rules
❓ Can't access the admin panel
- Check permissions: Ensure your BigCommerce user has app installation permissions
- Try again: Go to Apps & Features → My Apps → DeliverDate Pro → Launch
- Contact support: If you continue to see errors, reach out to us
📧 Getting an authorization error
- The app store token may have expired
- Solution: Uninstall and reinstall the app, then reauthorize
